Team changes in Mega8 Dota 2 Pro 16

Mega8 Dota 2 Pro 16 Announcement RE Goon Squad

Goon Squad is unable to field four out of the fives players registered in the qualifiers in their upcoming league fixtures. Seeing as Goon Squad cannot field three of their registered core players, the team will be removed from the Mega8 Dota 2 Pro 16 League. Seeing as the players left the team during the league, they will not be able to play for any other team in the league, nor will they be able to enter as a new team to replace Good Squad.

Goon Squad, its current line-up and former line up are welcome to take part any further Mega8 competitions in the future.

Mega8 Dota 2 Pro 16 Announcement RE xTc

After XTC announced it is releasing its Dota 2 team , Mega8 has removed xTc from the Mega8 Dota 2 Pro 16 League as they are unable to field a team. It is our understanding that the xTc players made a conscious decision to leave the team during the league, and as such, they will not be able to play for any other team in the Mega8 Dota 2 Pro 16 League, nor will they be able to enter as a new team to replace xTc.

They are welcome to take part in any further Mega8 competitions in the future.

Mega8 Dota 2 Pro 16 Announcement RE Damage Control

Last week Damage Control decided to remove their Dota 2 team from their MGO.

The team has retained their five registered players and the team has been renamed. Mega8 has determined that the five registered players may continue to compete in the Mega8 Dota 2 Pro 16 League. The team name will simply be changed.

Mega8’s position in circumstances like these is that if players leave the team prior to the completion of the tournament, then they are removed. If the team drops the roster, but the roster remains intact with three core players, the team may continue in the competition.

We wish them luck in their upcoming fixtures in the Mega8 Dota 2 Pro 16 League.
